  • Waste receipt and separation
  • Recycling facilities
  • Biological treatment (aerobic/anaerobic)
  • MBT
  • Composting
  • Energy- from- waste

Birse Waste is not committed to any single technology and is able to support customers in the identification, selection and incorporation of the most appropriate technologies to site specific waste management applications.

Health and Safety
– In Birse Waste the approach to safety is to proactively develop a safety first culture in all our staff, subcontractors and suppliers. There is absolutely nothing that we do that is so important that we can’t make time to do it safely.

Environmental Protection – The values which drive Birse Waste are:

  • Respect and contribute positively to local communities
  • Offer opportunities to improve energy efficiency or carbon emissions
  • Use renewable resources in preference to non-renewable
  • Use local and recycled materials where appropriate
  • Source products that are manufactured with due regard to human rights

The waste management sector is seen, primarily, as an environmental solution. The objective of Birse Waste is to maintain that principle at all stages of scheme development and delivery.

Innovation – The customer focused multidiscipline team approach of Birse Waste builds on the knowledge, skills and experience of all rates in a project to identify the technical and commercial ideas which can contribute to the most reliable, flexible and cost-effective solution.

Stakeholders – Waste management projects can be high-profile schemes in both the local and the broader community.

Birse Waste works alongside its customer to ensure a consistent process of informing and protecting the community at all times.
